Tony, Gladys, and Dad Gallardo arrived home safely today. They are very appreciative of everything everyone did on their behalf. Time for some rest and relaxation.

Here is an update from our atty PLEASE DON'T STOP PRAYING

Whether he will be released or not will be decided on the 20th, and we will then know their decision on the 21st. There is nothing the atty could do to know the move in the prosecutor's office, so we won't be able to know at what time they'll come up with the decision or at what time we'll be able to know the decision. As soon as she knows their decision, she will contact us by phone.

If any indictment should happen, the atty would see Anthony at the Narita Airport P.O. on the 22nd (Thurs) in the morning.

Today (sat) we met with the atty over the phone. I had asked how tony was doing since the last interrogation and was told better. PRAISE THE LORD The atty told me that tony is in a better mood and his next interrogation with the prosecutor wont be until 14th of Oct. That is great news. tony had sent me some verses to read and vice a versa - I sent him some. I'll be meeting with the attorney this coming week on Tuesday (your monday) from 1pm to 3pm and go over some questions we had, so please pray for Minori, dad gallardo and myself.

MESSAGE FROM GLADYS

Today we went to the stores to pick up some reading glasses for Tony then we got him some warm sweat set it can get pretty cold and thought this would keep him warm at night. Minori, dad gallardo and myself arrived at the police station in narita around 3:30pm to drop off the items and some money. Asked Minori if she could ask the police officer if Tony was alone in a cell or did he have a room mate.and the police officer said no he's in one big room with other prisoners (from all over the world), and said that Anthony is safe because he has attorney and I'm over here thinking dear Lord would he not be safe if he didn't have an Attorney. Just could not think about that and was praising and thanking God that Tony agree to get an attorney. Please continue praying it is the only thing that will protect him. Also pray for dad and i sometimes i feel like i'm in a spiritual battle and i have to start reciting my verses i have been memorizing to start feeling peaceful. Please don't STOP PRAYING

Tonight at 7pm (japan time) the attorney went to meet with Tony, i will not hear from her until Saturday afternoon. She lives in Chiba and has about 45 min to an hour to get home. So she'll call us at 1pm saturday to give us an update on tony. Please keep her in your prayers this case has really touched her. Praying she will get saved

Dad gallardo and i are having phone problems the American Embassy can't seem to reach us we do sometimes have problems getting thru. trying to figure out a solution so if you can pray about that too we will appreciate it

My Brother doing, what he does best...

I had the pleasure of being invited to mardi gras this year- feb09 by Gladys and Tony. Quite a bit of this footage was shot by Tony.

Tony has been faithful in going to mardi gras to videotape and to win souls to Christ for the last 15 yrs; since 1995. I have learned a lot from my brother Tony, watching him doing Gods work. He is not one to brag or boast, but merely is the quiet soldier for God. He gives of himself freely to help those in need.

A Court Date Has Been Set

URGENT PRAYER TIME - This will be the time frame that a decision will be made about Tony with the attorney, prosecutor and the judge. Please mark your calendar and pray continuously throughout the day that God will perform another miracle as he did in Acts 12 below.

do we know if Tony will be seen on Monday, which is Sunday in usa? Should we all pray at same time on our Sunday?

Wish I knew how to encourage you through this.  One of our members was here this morning and he is really upset.  He said that here you all were coming to encourage us and he can't do anything to help.  We took him to Gen. 50:20..  In times like this it is hard to see the accuser standing before God Almighty and just maybe God is saying "Have you considered by servant Tony."....

Tony's Court Hearing Prayer

Still in the dark time-wise about Tony's court hearing. we will all pray here together at exactly 10pm central standard time (that would be 12 noon in Tokyo). i encourage everyone to please take the time and gather anyone who is around you, close your eyes and just for one second put yourself in his shoes. Then pray…have a moment of silence…whatever you feel comfortable with, but come together and plead with the Heavenly Father for his will to be done. if you will be joining please post a comment of attendance for this collective prayer. thank you.

Status Update 8:40 AM

• They have not attained an attorney, a local Christain attorney is helping them find an appropriate attorney. 

• Things are getting tight for them and to travel around the city is expensive. An immediate way to assist is by donating. Please pass the word.

• tomorrow is the hearing, so PLEASE PRAY. not sure what time, will be looking into that.

When i do find the time, i would like to encourage everyone to stop what they are doing at that time, get together with whomever they are with and pray. So that we all will be praying at the exact moment together. just a thought. if you will be participating, it would be great if you could confirm this by commenting on this post (click on "comments").

"Please have everybody pray for us it is very OVER WHELMING.  we are dependent on this missionary Lori Hager, from Michigan she has been here in Japan for twenty years - a tremendous blessing.   For anyone who does not, have stop or just thinking about supporting Missions, DO IT.  I am ashamed to admitt that tony and i have slow down to the point of stopping, SHAME ON US  but as soon as we get back to the states we will get right back to supporting them.   We have met so many missionaries who is willing to jumb right in to help us and that can be pretty humbling.   as i write to all of you who is reading this blog  please do not stop praying for us.  

 

If there is anybody who hasnt, or just thinking about or has slowed down in being a witness,   GO SOULWINNING   it is our job to go out and show people how to go to heaven, how they need the saviour jesus christ.  This has been one of the most humbling experiences of our life.  Tony, dad and I know that God is in CONTROL  and he knows the outcome of this situations.  I know that GOD will have the victory.   So im preparing myself for anything to happen,  just don't stop praying please.  we want to come home.

Thank God. We still need to get in contact with him.

Do you need an extended Visa ***UPDATE***

Dad, Gladys, I was talking to my brother in law and he was mentioning you might need a visa after a certain amount of days to stay in Japan. Can you check into that with the U.S. Embassy or maybe at the hearing on Saturday. I don't know any of that stuff since I don't travel. Take Care and we are praying for you all

I miss talking with my brother Tony at night on editing techniques, or debating what type of steadicam to purchase from bhphoto.

But I know that Tony is busy doing Gods work ; saving souls for the Glory of God.

It's been a long day and very stressing emotionally, but nothing like what Tony, Gladys and Dad are going thru trying to figure out what needs to be done and what is going to happen. My only request is that you pray for Tony since he has it the worst. Pray for Gladys and Dad so that they would keep a sound level head on decisions. GOD BLESS YOU

Tony Gallardo Status

Tony, Gladys and Tony's Dad (Anthony Gallardo) were headed to Thailand on a mission trip to put together a video for a missionary.

Tony, Gladys and Tony's Dad arrived in Japan, as they entered customs and had their bags checked, it was then that the customs officer found Tony's handgun in his carryon items.

Of course this was purely accidental, but unfortunately in Japan they take gun control very seriously. They arrested Tony and he now sits in a Japanese jail waiting upon their investigation.

The first and most important thing that we ask for is prayer. Not only for Tony, but for Gladys and Tony's Dad as they seek wisdom on how to handle this situation. Secondly, we have created this blog to keep everyone up to date and to make this the portal for information so it is readily available to everyone, so that the family does not have to answer the same questions again and again.

Here again, the most important thing right now is prayer. If you have any information regarding the legal system in Japan that you feel would be helpful, please post.
